OUR STORY
Protech Motorsports has been in business since 1987. We work on the following makes of cars: Porsche, Volkswagen, and Audi. We pride ourselves on putting customers first and performing quality work to the best of our ability. Our team takes pride in quality work, keeps its skills current through Delphi, Worldpac, and local training, and holds MAC certification in air conditioning maintenance. Our employees are happy to explain what your car needs and why or get you a quote in a timely manner. We look forward to doing business with you!
THE BEGINNING
Protech opened in 1987 as a Porsche tuning shop, specializing in performance upgrades and engine work.
EXPANSION
As the team grew, so did its experience. Protech expanded its work to include Porsche, Volkswagen, and Audi vehicles.
A NEW CHAPTER
In 2016, Protech moved to a larger shop, making room for the equipment, team, and work that continue to shape the business today.

Bill Gerwig
Bill is a Porsche and Audi Master Registered Technician and participated in the Greenville Tech NADA Apprenticeship Program. He won 1st place in the Southeast Region in the Audi Technician Challenge sponsored by Audi of America. Prior to owning his own shop, he worked with Leroy Cannon Porsche Audi from 1978 to 1990. Frank Gerwig
Frank has been around German cars all of his life. His family owned many Volkswagens and Porsches over the years that he has helped service. After leaving Clemson, Frank took Auto Body and Frame Repair classes at Greenville Tech. He gained his mechanical skills by interning under two ASE certified Porsche/Audi/Volkswagen trained technicia
Frank has been around German cars all of his life. His family owned many Volkswagens and Porsches over the years that he has helped service. After leaving Clemson, Frank took Auto Body and Frame Repair classes at Greenville Tech. He gained his mechanical skills by interning under two ASE certified Porsche/Audi/Volkswagen trained technicians and by experience. His family has recently grown from two to six and they enjoy outdoor activities and traveling. Their dog enjoys hanging out in the pool with them in the summers.

Joshua has been part of the Protech Team since 2022, bringing extensive experience and expertise to the team. A certified Porsche technician, Joshua previously worked at Porsche of Greenville and Hendrick Porsche. His experience also includes two years with NTI and NASCAR, as well as completing the Porsche Technician Apprentice Program in

Outside of work, Joshua enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time with his wife and daughter.

Carol Mucci
Carol is the Parts Manager and is a retired Air Traffic Controller. She graduated from Winthrop College and received her Master of Education from Clemson University. Carol enjoys outdoor activities with her family and flying.
Susan Gerwig
Susan is the Customer Service Agent. She graduated Wilma Boyd Career School in Pittsburgh, PA. Previously, Susan was a Customer Service Agent for Delta Airlines and American Airlines. She enjoys camping and boating with her family on the weekends.
